Job Summary We are seeking dedicated Patient Support Specialists for a 100% remote opportunity with a leading healthcare solutions organization. In this role, you will be the vital link between patients, providers, and insurance companies, ensuring individuals can successfully access their essential specialty medications. Save time and money by ditching the commute and working from your own home office while making a real difference in patients' lives. You will mediate complex pharmacy and payer issues, verify insurance coverage, and steward patient accounts from initial contact to final approval to ensure individuals quickly obtain the therapy they need. Key Responsibilities • Conduct outbound calls to patients and insurers to confirm coverage, benefits, and pharmacy details. • Mediate and resolve complex payer/pharmacy issues for positive patient outcomes. • Process patient applications in strict adherence to policies and PHI compliance. • Document adverse events and research alternative funding or foundation eligibility. • Accurately type detailed notes into proprietary software while actively conversing via telephone. Requirements • High School diploma required; previous healthcare, prior authorization, or pharmacy benefits experience highly preferred. • Type a minimum of 40 WPM with MS Office and video conferencing (Teams/Zoom) skills. • Empathetic, highly organized self-starter capable of managing multiple concurrent assignments.
