Locations available: San Diego and San Jose, California or Austin, TexasNXP is seeking our next HW Validation Engineer for silicon validation who will drive and contribute to both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation and production of SerDes and other High-Speed interfaces as part of Aviva’s Automotive grade products. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality, performance, power, reliability, stress and stability and eventually automotive qualification through comprehensive validation processes.Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:Validation planning – Develop and implement detailed validation test-plan and develop validation methodologies/infrastructure to achieve the coverageTest development – Develop test-cases, test environment and automation scripts using Python. Use various HW and SW tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, traffic generators and analyzers.Collaboration - Work closely with design, DV, Analog and Firmware teams to debug, root-cause and resolve any issues that may arise during validation. In addition, work with Operations to do bench screening, high volume ATE functional screening.Documentation and reporting – Document test-plans, test results, validation coverage reports. Communicate the same to stakeholders through regular reportsAutomation – Develop various scripts, web-based tools to automate validation and FW QA tests as well as collecting reports and diagnostics dataMinimum Required QualificationsB.S./M.S.
